This artwork begins as a spontaneous drawing with an acrylic pen: raw, instinctive, and grounded in the tactile act of mark-making. From there, I transition it into the digital realm, photographing the original line work and importing it into Adobe Illustrator. The shift from analog to vector allowed me to refine the composition and explore bold color relationships, while still honoring the imperfections and rhythm of the hand-drawn original.
These works blend influences from surrealism (for its dreamlike, central abstract figure), street art or graffiti (due to the bold outlines and marker-like textures), and digital futurism (evident in the vector finish and crisp color fills).
I view my process as a kind of hybrid ritual, an open dialogue between the analog and digital, intuition and precision. Each piece I create invites the viewer to decode, interpret, and connect through their own layered perceptions.
